Otherwise, if you are Mediterranean cruisers, we would like to suggest the Rome tour number 13; it is a shore excursion from Civitavecchia dock that includes a guided tour of the main highlights in Rome. We usually go, for example, to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican City, St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Of course, you can have on request customized tours of Rome , as well as excursions to places not mentioned below. Every tour includes your pick up and return at Rome hotel or at Civitavecchia dock. If you have baggage from/to your hotel, airport and ship, you can add customized tours to transfers. Our vehicles have a special pass to enter Civitavecchia dock, arriving in front of the pier of your ship. The price of the service is intended in total, per vehicle and not for each person. The payment is only for cash.

You will be able to touring all Rome, by an air-conditioned luxury vehicle, arriving directly in front of the main highlights, thanks to a special permission in the historical centre. The history of Rome will be explained by an English-speaking tourist driver guide. We generally go to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Ancient Rome, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Vatican Mueseums & Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, etc… There are stops for your photos, brief visits and lunch in a family restaurant for a good pizza, lasagna or taste a wine. The quote is 480 Euro, in total, per vehicle and not per person, all included, except possible entrance fees (Colosseum 12 Euro each, Vatican Museums 15 Euro each). In case of booking, no deposit is required, the payment is in cash (strictly in Euro and no credit cards) at the end of every service; we should know only your Hotel address. Your driver guide will pick you up at 8:30 am at your hotel to start your tour. Enjoy a leisurely 45 MINUTES drive through the countryside straight to Tivoli, an ancient town 15 miles east of Rome. Start by exploring the Hadrian’s Villa: here you may rent audio guides if you wish detailed commentary The villa consists of a group of monumental buildings, roads, sheets of water, baths, libraries, theaters and temples which are considered as the reproduction of similar buildings that the Emperor visited during his travels; then you will continue to Villa D’Este (Tivoli Gardens), the italian style garden with its beautiful fountains as a splendid example of Renaissance garden, art and architecture. You can stop for optional lunch and enjoy Italian dishes, and in the first afternoon your tour ends with transfer back to Rome at 2:30 pm.

The 10 hours private service includes the round trip and the excursion that will start from Civitavecchia dock (or from Rome hotel) at 7.30 a.m., towards Civita di Bagnoregio (a citadel in tufa stone, nicknamed the ‘ghost city’ for its appearance) and the well-worth Orvieto, roughly one hour and half far from Civitavecchia or Rome (the Cathedral with the frescoes of the ‘Last Judgement’ by Signorelli, the medieval Palaces, the etruscan territory, the original ancient streets with ceramics shops and wineries, etc…) and will end at Civitavecchia dock (or at Rome) again at 5.30 p.m.

The history of Rome will be explained on board by an English-speaking tourist driver guide. We generally go to the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Ancient Rome, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, St. Peter’s Basilica,Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel, etc… (of course you can customize your private tour adding the places you like). Please, the reservation for all kinds of service will be with a deposit payment by PayPal. The rest of the fee will be in cash Euro (no credit cards) at the end of your private service. Cancellation Policy: Please, note that there will be no charge if you cancel your reservation by e-mail to roberto.europe@gmail.com at least 2 days before the date of the requested service. In case of cancellation, a refund will not be issued but a LIFETIME CREDIT VOUCHER is provided, which is transferable and can be used in future visits.
